No kidding, WOW is an understatement! Remember how excited I was when I got that triangle to work :) And they laughed at me :) But the mad scientists continue...
Does anyone have suggestions what we do with it now? Is it a wise idea to start spreading it to the "general public"? Should we tip off game companies about it so they can have a look? With a real live working game, it could cause quite a controversy. 3Dfx could try to shut us down, or maybe we would even see industry support. (wishful thinking here, maybe) Glide games seem rather important right now to 3Dfx's success, because its main advantage is no longer speed. (A year ago it was.)
As for the authors/owners, the project is really a collaboration of a number of people and in my opinion it belongs to everyone now. I provided a "seed" (the contest entry). Jeff C had the source code first, then I gave it to everyone soon after. But maybe we should add the GNU public license or something like that, to prevent someone from making money off it.
